Google’s Pixel Phones Catch Up With iPhones With This Basic Camera Feature
Google recently rolled out an update for the camera app in Pixel phones. This update brought features like audio zoom and cinematic panning to older Pixel phones. It also added a storage saver and new video effects. Google also improved the camera app in Pixel phones by adding two level indicators to get that perfectly leveled shot.
The new Pixel Camera app upgrade tool was first spotted by Android Police. There is now a yellow line in addition to the white one that already exists. Google Pixel users will see both level indicators appear after a few seconds of holding the phone still. To get the perfect shot, you will need to make the yellow and white lines meet to form a single yellow line. You can capture your photo after reaching this unique level.
Android police note that on the Pixel 4 and above, users will experience a low vibration when it hits the perfect level. The two level meters also appear as a crosshair when taking pictures from top to bottom. The same process should be followed for this as well, making the two indicators appear as one. This way you can get the perfect photo in both landscape and portrait mode. The new feature is enabled by default and there are no options to disable it.
This feature is new to Pixel phones, but it has been around for years on iPhones. IPhone users can activate the grid from camera settings to take photos by following the rule of thirds, and also adjust the frame with the upgrade tool.
